Shred Selected is a multi-step process that overwrites data and then deletes data to prevent hacking.
When adding a file to the vault you are actually encrypting the file with a password protection layer to prevent hacking.
Redact means to put into a suitable form. As such, we are replacing sensitive data with ‘XXX’. This overwrites your personal information and makes it impossible to reach by hackers.
Registration keys are sent in an email after Identity Pro is purchased. Please look for an email from info@atherionsoftware.com for your registration key. If you are unable to find this key please contact support@atherionsoftware.com.
Internet Data is the information that is entered into your internet browser. It can be entered in as a search, a login, or as a purchase. Many browsers do not properly protect this information and as such it should be deleted where-ever possible.
To check for updates, open Identity Pro, click Help, Then click Check for Updates. When an update is available, Identity Pro will also open a notification window.
Personal Information tells Identity Pro exactly what information to look for on the computer, for example your bank account or mother's maiden name. To add or edit your personal information click on the ‘My Wallet’, enter your master password, and then click ‘Edit My Personal Information.’
If you choose to ignore an item, it will be omitted from further searches by Identity Pro. You can change this setting to search ignored items by clicking ‘Settings’, then enter your master password if set, and then clicking on the item in ‘Exclude File Types and Paths’ and clicking Remove.
To change the master password click 'Settings', then 'Master Password Control'. The 'Master Password Security Control' window will appear, click 'Change Master Password' to activate the area. Enter the current password and then desired new password twice. Click Save. A confirmation message will be displayed if the password has been changed successfully.
If you forget your password click 'Forgot Password?' and answer the security questions set at the time when the password was set. After answering the security questions correctly, a popup will open with your password.
Identity Pro comes in either a yearly subscription for $29.99 or a lifetime purchase for $99.99 and includes updates and support for Identity Pro. The Identity Pro yearly subscription will notify you when the year is up and offer you a renewal.
Identity Pro is compatible with Norton Anti-Virus, McAfee, AVG, and most other Anti-Virus software.
